Supercharger fault - help please! Hi, I hope I've posted this in the right place. I’m a new owner of an very original, 58,000 mile SLK230 and slowly finding my way around it - made all the easier by this fine forum. My problem is a malfunctioning supercharger. I’ve read lots of very knowledgeable posts on here and run some checks as a Once you have removed the screws, the motor assembly will drop downwards. Now disconnect the electrical connectors. As your head is directly below the job, any dust, grit etc., is going to end up in your eyes, so be careful. Having got you motor out, check the plastic impeller for any obstructions. My info shows there are 2 Fuses related to ABS and Traction Control. 1) ABS Hydraulic Unit Fuse is F3 - 50 Amp. This Fuse is one of the "Pre Fuses" and these are in the Pre Fuse Box which is in front of the Battery, black Plastic oblong box similar size to a Cigarette Packet (not in the Module Box at the side of Battery) You must slide the locking tab with your thumb and pull out the metal key. Insert the key into the trunk lock cylinder. Turn the key until you hear the trunk pop open. : Avoid jump-starting your Mercedes-Benz by connecting the jumper cables directly to the battery. Instead, use the positive jumper starter terminal located in the jumper cable. You will probably need wiring diagrams, unless you want to physically trace the wiring. You have checked all the fuses for power on both sides with a test light, correct? A fuse can look good and be bad. Electric motors tend to draw too much power when they are on their way out and will start to pop fuses if they get really bad. Some vehicle manufacturers label the relay on the fuse box cover to make it easier to identify. Types of Flasher Units. Flasher relays for turn signals can be classified into four: DOT, bimetal, hybrid, and solid-state. DOT Flashers. Department of Transportation (DOT) flashers produce a clicking noise for the driver to hear. Fuse #13 (10amp) in the eng. comp. fuse box controls all the interior lights, but since some of them are working, the fuse doesn't seem to be the issue here. First try swapping the bulb from the right side to the left. If that is not it you will have to check the wires going to the bulb socket. The orange wire is hot at all times and the grn Slk won't start. I don't know if this is in the correct forum. Sorry if it isn't, but I need some help. My wifes 98 SLK 230 will not start. Cranks ,but wont fire. I confirmed it has spark, but has no fuel preasure and can't hear the fuel pump running. I am trying to find the fuel pump relay, but the manual is no help. j8dz.
